Absolutely the worst mortgage lender. All I wanted to do was to pay off my equity line. 8 reps later and 60 days to do it. They were in the middle of another lender taking over their servicing. Probably a good thing as they had no clue! Ended up with 8 different answers and an extra month of interest. Borrowers beware!!! They are horrible. Go straight to Mr Cooper and spare yourself the grief of working with Flagstar!
Max was incredibly polite and helpful. Not sure why this location has such a poor rating. I had a great experience!
I’ve been with flag star for three years . They sold my loan to M&T bank . I paid my loan on the 30th of January 25 and then was told 2 weeks later on the 14 that my payment didn’t process and I now have to pay M&T bank . I look up M&T bank they have a 1 star rating … I spend over an hour on the phone with the bank just trying to get my login figured out with M&T bank . I would not recommend flagstar or M&T bank after the bad taste that was left in my mouth .
Terrible bank to do business with. Exactly what other people say about payments. The payment is due on the 1st. You have a grace period till the 15th. If you don't post a payment t on the 1st they charge you a late fee. But you have a grace period. How can there be a late fee if they receive full payment by the 15th? Attorney General needs to investigate and so does the FTC. NO other bank or car loan company with a grace period charges a late fee. Ridiculous
BEWARE OF FLAGSTAR BANK - VERY SHADY: This is the worst experience I have ever had with any type of lender. I will lay out exactly how they bamboozled me out of both finishing up a partial release and money. I worked with Emerson Davis Byrn of the Collateral Management department. I had to do a partial release on a property. Once I initiated this they put me in a queue for MONTHS. Everytime I emailed they would just say, it’s in line and someone will reach out.
