Like many others, I was told they took my insurance. I have Medicaid and am on disability. I went to the hospital for a multiple sclerosis flare, found out it was also a uti (went to NCHC Williams urgent care the week before and the uti test came back clean...) and just got a 2k bill. The neurologist at the hospital assured me there was no flare damage and it was just a uti. That cost thousands of dollars.... Receiving a bill 8 months later for a half-assed douche bag Dr. to walk in and look at my daughter's ear. .say "Yeah, it's pretty bad" give her a shot to supposedly numb which it didn't... attempt to drain but didn't want to hurt her.. and then leave... Just $1115.00 bill, 8 months later FOR NOTHING.... ended up just having to go see a specialist, have surgery a few days later anyway! What a waste... I HATE this place. I was told that my insurance was covered at this facility, and then a couple months later here I am receiving a large bill. This place needs to be transparent with their patients about whether or not they are covered under the insurance or if the hospital does not take it.
I was seen by a doctor on a computer screen for a neurological examination with partial paralysis in one leg due to a Multiple Sclerosis attack at VVMC in February 2021. The nurse was unable to do the exam as she was not a neurologist and the instructions given by the doctor were very vague and given with a short and frustrated tone. The instructions were also wildly incomplete! (I’ve had more than a few neuro exams and know what I should expect!)
