I was visiting my daughter for the day on Saturday and my iPhone mic was malfunctioning. The owner Mitch and helper Nadia rallied to get the motherboard repair done while juggling customers and maintaining calm and grace. Saving me so much heartache. Mitch is funny, whimsical and a champion of the right to repair movement. The shop aesthetic was super cool and comfortable. Thank you thank you
I debated on one star or two and decided to be generous. You can decide for yourself, based on my experience. I brought my laptop in for repairs in July. There was a problem with the keyboard. Fixco demanded that I pay in full in advance and told me they don't warranty their work. That was the first red flag. I can understand a deposit. I can understand paying for the part being ordered specially for a job. But demanding labor costs up front? Unreasonable. It was over $200 but I paid it. Friendly and knowledgeble staff. Fixed my phone quickly which I cannot be grateful enough for! I will definately send people to this company for phone or computer repair.
If I could put zero stars I would. I never write reviews but my experience was so bad I had to. I brought in a Playstation 5 to replace the HDMI port, it was already overpriced but i saw the reviews and believed they did good work and it was worth it so I spent the $200 on the replacement. After 2 weeks of no communication, me having to call them and ask about the progress and them telling me that it would be done over and over again yet it took 2 weeks, Which I didn’t mind because I believed it would be a good job.
