I can’t overstate how wonderfully this business is run. The owner is extremely knowledgeable, honest, and extremely kind. If you need anything fixed with your vehicle and are looking for fair prices then I can’t recommend this place enough.
Stopped by when our license plate bolt was stuck. They fixed it on the spot and didn’t even charge me for the time. Friendly and kind.

I’ve been living in Iowa City for about 6 months; don’t know anything about cars. On a Sunday my car wouldn’t start and I had two guys tell me that I needed a new battery. I had to google a place to go and as a woman it’s pretty daunting to just show up at a mechanic shop. At Five Stars I was given the right diagnoses and didn’t have to get a new battery. I was helped to find a key locksmith and get everything fixed on the same day. Grateful for the help!
I took my car in because I heard a funny noise. I was immediately called to get on update on the issue and it was fixed same day. I was shown pictures of the issue and given an explanation of what needed to be done. After my visit it was recommended that I get new brakes as soon as I could.
