Brand had a BOGO deal and workers were short staffed and not trained to handle such volume. Every member of staff was kind, considerate, and trying. Because they have open floor plan, you can literally hear everyone talking to each other trying to figure it out. Management set them out up to fail. I hope that workers are awarded for their service. It made me sad to see elderly workers overwhelmed and short circuiting, as well as young workers wanting to help, but not quite knowing how. Five guys is good. This location’s attention to detail is not, however. I always order online and more often than not there is an issue with my burger. Either they will put cheese on a burger that was ordered without cheese or they will miss an ingredient. Today I paid extra for a bacon burger, and it had no bacon on it. In the past, I’ve paid for a burger with no cheese and had cheese put on it multiple times. Other times individual ingredients were mismatched between two burgers on one order. I’m a big fan of Five Guys, but my experience at this location was extremely disappointing. The staff and atmosphere were fine, but the food quality raised serious concerns. Unfortunately, we became very sick after eating here, with symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I hope management investigates their food-handling and safety practices so this doesn’t happen to anyone else.
