One of my favourite gyms in the country. I signed up with them 8 years ago, then left Darwin for 8 years. When I came back I went back straight to them again. What impresses me the most is the variety of fitness classes offered and at various times to suit different fitness groups, ages, working schedules. They have early morning, late morning, lunchtime and evening time classes. On top of that the variety is huge. Today, at approximately 4:10 pm, I visited the gym to ask about joining. There was no one at the front counter, so one of the people training kindly tried to contact the gym on my behalf. I called the gym because I wanted to ask a few questions, including whether you offer martial arts classes, as I’m interested in joining. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was quite impatient. I was simply told, “Come at 7,” without any explanation of why or what would be happening at that time. I’ve absolutely loved working out at Fitness Works Darwin City over the past four months. The gym is always clean and tidy, the staff are professional and friendly, and the members are respectful of the rules, which makes for a really great environment. The only reason I won’t be continuing here is that I’m moving back to Sydney.
