If you’re looking for a pure no frills gym experience, this is the place to go. Staff is kind, all the equipment works, and there’s a good amount of squat racks and benches, especially considering the overall footprint. I just wish people would rerack their weights properly…
I found myself back to Fitness SF in Oakland after working out at home since the pandemic started. I have a history of lower back problems so was a little concerned about getting back to a gym. I booked 8 training sessions with Jeremy Jouanne. He was FANTASTIC! I wanted to focus on lower body and core to protect my back and Jeremy crushed it. Fitness SF Oakland is a clean, well-equipped gym in a super convenient location near Lake Merritt. There’s a great mix of machines, free weights, and lifting platforms; perfect for all kinds of workouts. The staff is friendly, the vibe is welcoming, and the locker rooms with rainfall showers are a nice bonus. Great spot for anyone looking for a solid gym in Oakland.
Jalen provided great service. I came to the gym for a tour and he was extremely helpful and attentive!
This gym is very clean and have great staff! I especially appreciate Yuritzi, She taught me different exercises to use with intention! My confidence in the gym has grown since, thank you so much!
