I was in NSW for a couple of days and visited FF Parramatta. The place is run down and grubby, and compares very badly to clubs in Melbourne. I don't know if the staff are hard of hearing, can't speak English or don't care. It took several attempts (and two transactions) to buy some Gatorade and towel (they had none for hire). The locks in the changing room are all broken and you need a padlock, and they wanted me to buy one that I'll never use again. Cardio machines are modern but the TV screens on the wall don't work. Best gym with neat and clean ambiance. Best for starter as they have group classes. Personal trainer can be provided on request. Staff is very helpful.
I went to Fitness First to ask about a free trial, as it’s clearly advertised on their website. Before that, I asked the staff how much a day pass costs, and they immediately said they don’t do free trials. They also told me that the fact I asked about a free trial shows I’m “not really interested,” which felt quite rude and dismissive.
