This gym is permanently closed and I never even got an email about it closing permanently. How do I cancel my membership that is being transferred?

I started a gym membership not too long ago. Great gym and everything but I had received an email that my membership got transferred to Curl fitness and I have to drive all the way to Westminster, mind you I live in Buena Park that is a 25-30min drive. It’s too long of a commute for me. I need to cancel my membership and i need a refund. Thank you.
