POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES My wife and I have been members for years and are now cancelling our membership. THEY RIPPED US OFF FOR ABOUT $600. This company is a cheesy outfit IMO. So, I am talking to the California Consumer Affairs dept. and Better Business Bureau. A couple of years ago my wife bought me some personal training time at $60 per session. Who is Kidding Who! In these financial crisis the last thing one needs is being pressured to buy 3 year memberships, it is difficult to cancel. If you do a month-to-month you run the risk of a rate increase. Being a long time member I have seen/heard of many changes that has downgraded their quality. Many rumors are being spread thru the gyms, staff is unhappy/stressed, Ballys is soon to close the Walnut Creek place, who knows with the economy what will happen next.

looking for an amazing gym?? I like Fitness 19 because I was looking for a place with no fuss, no mess, a place where I could come after work - be in and out. I wanted a place where I did not have to pay for a pool, showers, towels, etc. I was afraid I wouldn't feel comfortable exercising around other people, especially my age, but here I fee comfortable - everyone is just doing their own thing. I love Fitness 19. It is just what I was looking for.
