I was disappointed to learn in the middle of signing up that I’d be charged an additional $69 next month, on top of the initial membership fee, bi-weekly fee, app fee and transaction fees (these last two not mentioned either). I’d like to express my dissatisfaction with how the gym has been handling my cancellation request. I submitted the request weeks ago, and I still haven’t received any response by email, despite multiple attempts to reach out. Additionally, I’m being charged fees that were not clearly outlined in the original contract. When I called, I was told I had to pay around $169.58 (50% of the remaining contract) to cancel, but there is no clause I signed that mentions this penalty. Fitness 1440 has been a great fit for my training routine. It’s clean, never too crowded, and has all the essentials. The equipment is in good shape, and there’s a solid mix of machines, free weights, and open space. My favorite part is the setup for functional training—especially the box jumps and sled. Those features aren’t always easy to find in standard gyms.

Half the equipment is broken and not properly maintained. At night the gym is so filthy, I go through 3 towels wiping things down. The pec deck machine has one handle that is broken and spins and has been that way for years- have some pride and get it fixed. They have done nothing to replace or maintain the equipment for 3 years+. Just very poorly maintained gym.
