We have visited the Fitchburg Art Museum twice and both times the art installations from local contemporary artists were impressive. The staff is wonderful. Both of my daughters have been with their girl scout troops, and the studio they have for workshops is top notch. It's a great place for a day trip. For the entire year of 2026 there is no entry fees for anyone who visits.
Taken pictures in Fitchburg Art Museum is a real masterpiece of work of art!!
When we got to the museum we learned that part of it was closed while they install new exhibits. We were able to see a photography exhibit, as well as the African art collection, which was excellent. I wish we had known in advance that many of the exhibits were closed, but they explained that due to delays they have not been offering a full open date, which is understandable.
