I have to caution anyone considering hiring the company irresponsible enough to contract with DHS to build a wall through Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Local leadership, law enforcement, and the discerning public are all opposed to the wall. It's totally unnecessary, with the landscape preventing virtually all border crossings in the region. I understand and appreciate border security. However I deplore any company that would take a contract to build a wall through an incredibly sensitive area where it isn’t needed. The Big Bend Sector sees 2% of ALL illegal southern border crossings (note: this includes all of Oklahoma, not just a huge portion of Texas and includes those through checkpoints) and this company is contracted to help build a wall that will cost tax payers $50 million per mile through extremely rugged, desolate, sensitive land in the Chihuahua deser... read more
