We enjoy growing an assortment of squash, melons, cucumbers and other “spreader” type plants in a spacious mulch bed alongside the forest loop of a circular driveway. To keep the 10-inch-deep mulch bed clear of weeds, we have used individual fabric landscape bags inserted into the mulch for each individual plant. I received 10 Grow Bags and quickly started planting. So far my peppers, beans cucumber & lettuce are growing very well, despite having me plant them 3-4 weeks after my usual planting time. I can see vegetables on all of them & can hardy wait to see what I will be able to harvest. I am growing these crops on my apartment balcony

These grow socks are awesome. I love them for their portability and weed control. With a large existing garden, I wasn’t sure how I would use these socks, but they were great for annuals. I could move them around my garden without having to dig. Where I really see the value of these socks is for new gardeners and those who don’t have space for a garden. These socks can fit anywhere.

I was one of the winners of Grow sock by Fisher Forest Products, and received the socks to use them for planting. I used the socks for herbs and flowers. Thank you for this opportunity, it was a very interesting experience. Attached are two pictures of my socks, one with flowers and the other with herbs.
