Don't expect to see bears at all times, but the salmon running are very cool to see in August.
This is a wildlife viewing spot, not a zoo, so no guarantees of seeing wildlife at any specific time, so we planned to stay in Hyder for several days to improve the likelihood of seeing bears and have visited multiple times (my husband went more often than I did). Our first trip out we didn't see any bears. My husband saw a black bear and a coastal brown bear last night and we saw a brown coastal bear (grizzly) this evening. Well maintained and easily accessible. Improve your chances of seeing a bear before 7Am and after 7Pm
Could be an interesting place if there were bears there. We went 3 times yesterday and no bears.
