I had my private student loans with Education Finance Partners, the went bankrupt and my loans are now serviced by FirstMark. I am an unemployable total and complete disabled veteran on a fixed income. I contacted FirstMark and inquired about what options are available, per the supervisor and the customer service representative all they can offer is a 6months forbearance. Customer service interrupted me not once, not twice, but perhaps one million times.
An incompetent institution with a broken website.
Don’t even deserve a one star. On 5/19/26 I paid out in full to Firstmark bank who took over the loan, then on 5/22/26 the money is still sitting in my account. I then called and spoke to Patrica from the bank and was told that the money was reversed back to me without any explanation. She then asked me again if I wanted to do the payment again and I said yes. This time I had to pay more because as the days went by the payment increased.
