They need to shorten the over the phone payment. TMI Guys-Press1 to make paymen, but press 1 and goes into another message and again press 1 if you want to make paymemt (thought i press 1 to make payment), in fact did this twice. I would give this LLC a -2 if I could. They bought my loan from Wells Fargo, increased the interest rate, and collected. I paid it all off last December 2025, but just received a notice that I still owe over $5000. When I called, angry that they are stating I still owe them money, they asked me to check the date of the statement-it was from 2023!!! They sent it out just this month in 2026. What kind of company sends out a 3 year invoice after you have paid the loan off?!
Honestly, if I could give this -100 stars I would. Don’t ever ever have your loan serviced through First work services. I’ve spent the last eight months trying to chase and fix all of the mistakes that over 60 of First services representatives have messed up on my student loans. I have been dealing with Firstmark Services regarding several private student loans that were transferred from another lender. My experience has been extremely frustrating. Over the years I have made significant payments, yet the principal balance appears to have barely decreased.
