Thankfully 4 years ago we found firstlight after my dad had a stroke. Their knowledge about the Veterans in home care programs were truly invaluable and made the transition for him coming home so much easier. The caregivers are kind, dependable and genuinely care for his well being. Their support has made such a difference in his quality of life and in our peace of mind. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for in home care!!
FirstLight has really done a terrific job in helping me care for my dad, an Air Force veteran. Stacey Mora and her team mapped out a workable plan to utilize my dad's VA benefits in combination with his limited resources. Like many, the goal was to keep mom in her home as she aged. Sounds good, but then reality sets in. She was lonely, felt someone was in her home, she became frightened, would decide to go for a drive, wasn’t taking her medications and there was the possibility of poor nutrition and cleanliness.
