Going to first step gave me the time needed to clear my head and body enough to change my life. I came through in 2012. I'm forever grateful to my time there and the people who helped me take a good look at myself and what I wanted out of this life. It was literally the first step to a life I'm now proud of.
Terrible experience. Staff was belligerent and inconsistent. Was told my shorts were "too short" for visit. Purchased new clothes for visit. Was accused by staff of drinking alcohol prior to visit. Offered to do a field sobriety test for them. Was told to "lose my attitude" or no visit. Was asked to reiterate the miscommunication from staff, when I obliged I was accused of lying and denied visit with my partner. 3 weeks of trying to get one visit to see my partner, and every staff member was rude or nasty.
