I was court mandated to complete First Step as a result of a DWI. I came into group thinking I could just sit through it and was not going to get anything out of it. Oh boy was I wrong. Group was highly engaging and has taught me things about myself that I didn't know about that could be triggers for making bad choices. I learned during group ways to cope with feelings towards making bad decisions and that these bad decisions nine times out of ten only bring short term joy.
