We work so hard to make Treatment a rich experience. Our customers tell us they learned a great deal about themselves, their disease of substance use disorder and also the family is invited to make shifts to incorporate recovery into their lifestyle.
The Programs First Step Recovery offers are life changing, literally. In September, our beautiful daughter/sister/wife/mother will be 2 years sober. Were it not for First Step's Programs (Patient and Family) and caring and supportive staff, I hate to think where we'd be today. Addiction doesn't affect only the 'patient,' it affects EVERYONE in the Family! I cannot and will never be able to properly thank this wonderful Organization for all it's done for us.

I went through treatment four times before I found First Step. When I walked through the doors I was treated with dignity, kindness, care and concern. In addition to treating my addiction, the staff at First Step addressed my physical & mental health needs. I was taught to work hard at recovery and to always make recovery a priority. First Step gave me the tools I needed to live a happy, healthy and chemical free life.
First Step Recovery is an AMAZING place! Not only do they support the individual with an addiction, but they give families hope, as well. I went there searching for someone that had been in my shoes before me. ANYONE who really understood what it was like to be the mother of an addict. I couldn't even hardly stomach saying "my son is an addict" when I first started going to meetings.
