Very impressed with First State Urgent Care! Signed up online for the waitlist and brought him in. The entire staff was super friendly, including the reception, nurses and the vet! Tucker was nervous and they were so patient and kind to him. They saw Tucker right away, were super upfront and transparent about their pricing. Tucker got some tests, fluids, and meds and is already doing better today! Super grateful for this place. We took our 16 year old dachshund there today as a walk in emergency. The staff was fantastic and caring. After 16 years of taking him to another local vet, I have found a new one!! I learned more in one visit about our pup at First State than I have in 3 recent visits to our now X vet.
Highly recommend! We took our cat in today what we think is a broken leg. You get on the site to get on a wait list so you dont have to sit for hours. They keep you posted as to when your time is close and then you leave the house when it's your turn. Great concept! But when we got there 2 life threatening emergencies came in. We waited a little bit and paid the 159 deposit for a visit but when it was clear to the staff we would be waiting a few hours they offered to refund our money so we could wither go to another er or wa... read more

Referred here via my vet today who was not able to perform a surgery due to vet being out of town. Came highly recommended. Very nice and courteous staff. Something to consider before going here...if your pet needs surgery realize there is a 50/50 chance that the surgeons on staff will accept the job. Until today, the idea that a surgery would be denied never occurred to me. Initial consults can be expensive.
