I went in for a float about two months ago. I did a float at another business last year which I thoroughly enjoyed. I figured I would try it again. I was disappointed with my float at First State. The float area was not very big and I kept bumping into the walls. I wasn't able to relax and enjoy the experience. I did stay in the pod for the full 60 minutes, but I was ready to get out after about 45 minutes. Also, for the next couple of weeks after the float, my skin was extremely dry. I️ would highly recommend trying multiple times! My first visit went well and I️ definitely felt relaxed after but the second visit I️ finally surrendered to the experience, and it’s worth the hype. My favorite part is the little post-float clementine and just sitting in the zen area after
I began floating as a last resort to alleviate symptoms related to PTSD, traumatic brain injury, arthritis, back pain, and axonal sensory motor polynueropathy. I was shocked by the immense, wonderful feeling of both being weightless and pain free!! My mind settled and my joints felt like cotton balls. As someone that loves the ocean & water in general, my float experiences have been perfect. With the tiny stars, relaxing music, and the freedom of movement - the feeling of complete peace and solitude is magical. The space is clean and calming and the staff is super nice. The bonus is the treat afterwards… enjoying some self-care in back like a cup of tea & writing in a journal
