This was our first time using a professional moving company and it couldn’t have gone better. Matt was communicative and very professional ensuring a seamless move. The movers themselves, Wes, Zach, Jake, and Aaron were friendly, efficient, and careful. Even with January weather, they finished under the quoted time. If you've ever been concerned that professional movers aren't worth it, my experience with First Rate Movers was worth every single penny. Something that probably would have taken me at least two days of hard work takes these guys only a few hours to do. I've had three moves now with Matt and his team, and every time was excellent. Yep, the reviews are not lying, these guys are great. Made short work of my one bedroom apartment move downtown, super friendly and professional. Really appreciate them also having hanging rack boxes that you can use to just hang your jackets and suits without having to pack them in boxes, saves a lot of time and you can just transfer them straight out in the new place without having to unpack. My Wife and I used First Rate Movers in July 2025 for a move from a 2 bedroom 6th floor apartment to a 3 bedroom house. Matt was great in accommodating us in one of the busier moving months of the year. The movers were great, careful and efficient; they had no issues move and were professional throughout. I would highly recommend First Rate Movers for anyone looking for qualified movers in the Ottawa area!
