A good family friend referred us to OJ. OJ was a great broker for us. My husband and I were first time home buyers, and didn't know too much about how to get a mortgage. He walked us through the process and found us a loan that worked for our financial situation. He was communicative, thorough, and helpful. He referred us to an incredible real estate agent with whom he worked very closely to make sure everything went according to plan. His assistant was great too and super organized. We highly recommend working with him!
We bought our first home together with a loan from OJ Vallejo at First Priority about ten years ago. OJ Worked out a pretty creative loan that helped us qualify even though we probably shouldn't have. (That's on us, not him, by the way.) The way he structured it seemed to make sense to us at the time. The red flag should have been when we showed up to sign for our loan and it was not what we had discussed. At all.
