I applied for a 12 month term with 0% interest to buy a safe from Liberty Safe. The company denied me for a $2900 purchase. I have a 770 credit score, have never had any late payments, and have an Amex platinum, United Club, Citibank Diamond card. All are paid on time with low balances. Not sure how they process this and came to that conclusion, but due to this I will move on with my business and buy a Fort Knox safe.
Tried to buy a Liberty Safe with financing and unfortunately they use this horrible bank. They wouldn't give me financing for $1700 on a 60 month term (approx $40 a month also their terms). The "underwriter" said I was "overextended". Just a simple excuse not to give the loan. Really a terrible company with shady business practices. I would advise to stay away.
