I was with Blackhawk Bank for 20 years and I told every family member and friend they needed to switch. Now I'm looking for a new bank. They take out payments at 1am and 2am in both my instances and then they issue an overdraft at the same time. So you have no time to get money into the bank before they charge you another $32 for that or those transactions. The last instance I over drafted under $2 and it cost me $32 more at 1am. ⭐️ Extremely disappointing and honestly exhausting experience with First Mid, specifically regarding business loan servicing. Our relationship began through Blackhawk Bank, and the decline in service after the First Mid acquisition was immediate and very noticeable. Called on phone and no one ever answered. I had to listen to a lot of automated prompts and messages. I guess new accounts are not a priority. I now see why their ratings are very low.
Worst customer service I've had at any bank. Drive-through is ridiculously slow. Business banking is complete failures. I sure miss Blackhawk Bank. Most customers do.
