Dr. Laakso is absolutely the worst doctor we have ever met. She is rude and condescending. My partner is seen her several times feel deflated and defeated. She has the biggest ego I have ever seen. We have not been happy with this doctor
Dr. J. Porter has been our family's physician for 5 years and we feel extremely fortunate. He is very knowledgeable and always takes the time to listen closely responding with detailed information. He is also very personable remembering details from previous visits. Today I accompanied another family member to her appointment and upon completion of the appointment, Dr. Porter took the time to ask how I was doing referring to a previous visit. I really appreciated this. He really cares about his patients.
My father is a senior and the fact that you can’t call and speak to front desk staff is beyond frustrating. You need to listen to 10minutes of voicemail messaging before you can press a number to choose your reason, then another long message before you can then leave a message. They will return your call in 24-72 business hours. I don’t know how seniors can even be expected to muddle through that nonsense. Answer the phone!!
I've been a patient of this clinic for over 30 years, well before they moved to Memorial Dr. My current doctor there is wonderful, kind and caring. However, the front desk staff is rude and abrupt, not the kind of people the sick and vulnerable should have to deal with.
Doctors are competent and caring - if you can pass through the gauntlet of horrifyingly abusive front office staff.
