After assessing the job, and securing the contract, it was painful to get a start date to commence the work. First General knew we had biohazard leaking under our home, and that my senior mother was living with an unsanitary pest infestation, as a result. Two weeks, and numerous unreturned phone calls later, then requesting to speak with the owners, I was finally given a start date for the following week. We arrived home from vacation to discover water damage done to our home, we called the insurance company. Within 2 hours Yaya was at our door willing and able to handle our situation. He was a very welcomed sight. Yaya communicates well, and knows how to get things done. We are looking to working with him again while we continue this process.

We had water damage. work safety BC said anything pre-90 should be tested before anything gets ripped up.They come in and ripped it up and than got it tested.said it was asbestos free put these fans in and heaters blew it around for a week and then come back to us and said it was asbestos positive.i had to walk through it every night to go to bed. and the worst part is this, if we get sick it could take up to 30 years before it’s diagnosed and you can’t do nothing about it until then and the owner said yes, they were in the ... read more

Highly accommodating and professional service! Back in September, my property in Powell River suffered extensive water damage to its lower suite that needed urgent attention. I reached out to every restoration company in the area, but due to a severe rainstorm affecting many properties, no one had immediate capacity to help. I’m extremely grateful that First General agreed to step in — even though Powell River is outside their regular service area. Their team was friendly, flexible, and it was a pleasure working with them!
