Rene is one of the best health care providers I have ever met. She is personable, calm, genuinely kind and very knowledgeable. Rene came running to my rescue the day my milk came in. I was a panicked first time mama because I couldn’t get by baby to latch due to engorgement and was scared my baby was getting too hungry. Rene' is amazing! I credit her constant support, instant feedback and compassion with success breastfeeding my baby. Even though my baby was not diagnosed with a tongue/lip tie in the hospital I knew something wasn't right just by the way she breastfed when we went home. I called Rene', saw her same day and over 5 weeks we worked together to correct a multitude of issues (Tonge tie, tight neck, tight jaw, cracked nipples-you name it) and now we are still breastfeeding at 1 year. Rene' is a compassionate and experienced lactation consultant (IBCLC) and breastfeeding counselor. She does as much volunteer work with breastfeeding dyads as she does professional work. Her passion is helping babies breastfeed successfully. She's very resourceful with years of professional education and knowledge to share. Her genuine, personable and fun personality is the reason her clients love her!
I would give her zero stars if that was an option. The consultation with Rene was a complete waste of my time and added unnecessary stress to me as a new mom. She was very friendly but provided no real advice to the challenges I was facing. She agreed what I was experiencing with breastfeeding wasn't the norm, and something needs to be correct but gave no practical advice on how to correct the issues outside of invasive surgery and neck adjustment for my newborn.
