I used them when I purchased my home as reference from the builder. The experience was average. Unfortunately, I refinanced a year later and had an awful experience. The rep couldn't answer questions about FHA vs Conventional, they gave me wrong information about my situation, and took over 4 months to finalize the refinance. I wish I would have pulled out of continuing as soon as I realized their representatives didn't know about loan types.

By the end of the day where I told my bank "I'm taking on a new mortgage officer," Blake Bench's team had done everything that my bank had done over the course of a month. We closed on time and at a lower rate than had been planned. I will be working with this team again.

This is second time I’ve worked with First Colony Mortgage. I’ve loved my experience both times. They offer the most competitive prices and provide exemplary service. I’m not easy to please and rarely give such feedback.
