I have to say the day I opened a business account had First Citizens was a very dark day. This particular branch is especially bad. I walked in to make a wire transfer. There was no one in this branch except me and it was like walking into a mausoleum. The branch manager and her looks and manner fit right in with the look of the place. First Citizens Bank has mishandled my account in multiple ways and engaged in deceptive practices. My account was closed after I reported employee misconduct, yet a refund from Nordstrom sent to my closed account in January 2023 has still not been returned — it’s been about three years now. The bank also improperly handled my report of fraud regarding a $5,000 educational service from The Speaker Lab, which blocked access to the service after I had already paid. I went today to open checking account, there was 5 employees , and they told me we are short in stuff you have to come back later or do online application..
