Don't get me wrong. The people are wonderful. Truly act like they want to help. However, the actual banking services and procedures are incredibly ridiculous! Before yesterday, FirstCitizens was already into my pocket for just over $300 (can't remember the exact amount). This was due to their ancient and outdated software and computer systems. I joined this Bank when it's just a small bank because I like to bank local and keep it local and keep it in the usa. So they were only in North and South Carolina when I join back in 2011, but now they've grown into a huge conglomerate bank and they've turned into a Bank of America or truest and there's no longer any customer service. By law the bank cannot deny probate statements to administer...they think they are ABOVE the Law.Very Rude and vengeful to my husband.Have reported to National Agency and Charlotte Attorney, they will be reprimanded.Run do not Walk to get away from deplorable staff.........jw
I opened a Business Account. Checks were ordered with the wrong name. My Checking account had a First Deposit of $7K+. They release the Funds 10 days later. This Bank is not recommended for Business.
After 4.5 years as a customer, I received a new $15 fee for online banking. The only reason I am a First Citizens customer was for Free Checking. Customer Service said I could go to a branch and have them switch my accounts to a different online banking system with very little difference with no fee. Could they make it more difficult. AVOID THIS BANK. Worst in class technology and branches closed on Saturdays. Convenience is clearly not a consideration for them.
