Awful communication and customer service. I deposited a check and the teller advised she would have to put a hold on a check. That was perfectly fine and understandable. However, she mever told me how long the hold was and its going on day 5. This seems a bit excessive considering the fact that I have direct deposit on my account. Time to take my business elsewhere.
After getting a gift card from First Citizens Bank for a Christmas gift as a teacher, I finally went to use it before the expiration date of 11/26. I could not use it because the of inactivity the take $5.00 off after 12 months which is stated on the card. I then called and found out for EVERY month after that of inactivity the take another $5.00 until the card is depleted. GREAT way to do business! NOT!!! We had one of your project managers place an order online on 1/9/23 at one of our store locations. Her order was for Kenneth Judd. It was scheduled to be delivered on 2/14. Around 3:50pm the recipient wasn’t there. Ms. Lavonda Corbett actually left MR. Judd’s phone number and he asked up to delivery it the next day, because he was gone for the day. The customer service at this particular bank is awful. I went there to deposit checks into a business account and was shamed by the teller and male manager when I asked why there was going to be a 5 day hold. I explained that this is not a new account and we receive checks from the other business often, and there has never been any problems. They told me "it's our policy".
