If I could give First Call negative stars I would. I have been dealing with First Call as "needed" for the last 20 years easily. I have never found them to be helpful but unfortunately they are the only crisis support around. Staff are often impatient, rude and while I am sure they are grossly underpaid and resent their job, it shouldn't be so obvious to those in crisis that call them. I had a great experience with first call. I was extremely nervous to call but they were super helpful. It felt easy to be honest about what was going on. I was given the choice of coming in or having someone come to me, then we talked things out a little and went over my options for next steps. I had a reasonable say in this process which I really appreciated. They also called the next couple nights to check in with me. Highly recommend!

They literally hang up on you and tell you good luck, idk how our state's mental health treatment is this poorly ran. I have no choice but to be told to die or move to another county
