I have worked with nearly 100 different title companies, and this experience ranks among the worst. The final ALTA was not sent for review, and at closing, I was told everything was complete, and I could leave. However, I ended up waiting for half an hour in the lobby before having to inquire about receiving my check. The staff clearly doesn’t care about agents that keep their doors open, simply unprofessional. By contrast, the Brandon office provides a much more customer-friendly experience. Lutz, you need to do better.
The Lutz office of First American Title is the worst title company I have worked with over the course of buying several homes. They are not timely with completing services and have a poor sense of professionalism. I will never use their services again. I may have to consider legal actions for their negligence.
Terrible communication. I recently brought a commercial property using them. Shortly after, I realized the seller had short us on some of the tenants rents. I immediately emailed Michelle about this to get it fixed. After not getting any response, I called the office many times, however she was always out of the office, either on vacation or has not come in for her shift yet. The worst title company I have ever worked with in purchasing (or selling) a home. Poor communication leading up to the transaction. Then after the transaction was over open up the deed they sent over and my name is wrong. Alerted them to the issue immediately. They claimed to be working on it but again no communication for a month. We keep trying to follow up- finally get them to respond and they blame the sellers for not responding to paperwork.
