Must eat Everytime I come to San Luis Obispo I come here to eat. I love the atmosphere and even though it's busy the food is made quickly and the fries are a must. The food is filling and I have yet to try something I don't like. If it's your first time - try the tri-tip sandwich. It's basically bbq sauce, steak and bread, but it's delicious.

Worth it Absolutely best tri-tip sandwiches! But we have not been in past year because I can't stand the LOUD loud-speaker and the low-budget behavior of the place. The place is so busy & congested that people start hanging close to your table staking their claim on it if you are almost finished so they can have a place to sit & eat. The busboy service can barely keep up with cleaning tabletops. And the counter workers are always yelling so they can be heard! The outdoor expansion is okay and isn't as noisy as the inside are... read more

Used to be better, and cheaper but still good If you ever visit SLO you will eat at Firestone's. It's pretty much as simple as that. Drive by during peak lunch or dinner hours and check out the line that streches out the door almost across the block. If you go at off peak hours there's usually no line and no problems finding a table, although they did just remodel the inside and have added quite a bit of seating. When I first started going to school here the Tri-Tip sando was like $4.50 and you got more meat than you do now ... read more

The most recommended restaurant in the Central Coast If you have friends in and around San Luis Obispo, chances are they told you to go to Firestone Grill. They have an incredible selection of fantastic foods which is highlighted with their world class tri-tip sandwich. If you go there you must try it because it is nothing less than a taste of heaven. PROS: Casual Atmosphere, Big TV for sports, Tri-tip Sandwich, Cobb Steak Salad CONS: Long lines during peak hours

A must go to when visiting SLO!!! The best Tri-Tip sandwich I have had and many will agree! This place can get very busy with lines out the door (well at least you know it is good food). Lively atmosphere with a lot of action, not quiet at all, being it is a sports bar!! The burgers are great also!! Try this food out, you will not be sad!

You can't go wrong here. When you are hungry and it's late and you are too tired to whip up dinner, try Firestone Grill. They have great burgers, bbq chicken, tri-tip, salads and even chicken tacos. There is something for everyone. Great food at affordable prices.

Firestone Grill I've been going to school at Cal Poly for a few months now and Firestone is at the top of my list--and everyone elses'. It has indoor/outdoor seating and a bar. There are a few plasma T.V. screens and two projectors where sports are broadcast throughout the day. If a good game is on, good luck finding a seat inside. Lines are usually long but the wait is relatively quite short. I recommend the tri-tip and a side of fries; It's the best meal a college student will ever have.

Unforgettable Food! This restaurant is probably one of the busiest places in san luis obispo! i would definitely recommend getting the tri tip sandwich with extra bbq sauce on the side. You can never go wrong on the cajun fries also. Be sure to make all your requests at the cashiers because its so busy that if you ask when you get your food, youll probably get yelled out by a moody worker.
