For one, they gave one diagnostic charge up front and then added unexplained charges for “shop supplies”. $150 just to run the handheld on a diagnostic is ridiculous. Military members, find a buddy with a tow or contact your insurance for a tow to get to another shop off base. Most shops do the diagnostic for free or much less. Second, the quote ended up being over $800 just for 2 x ignition coils and an ignition module replacement on an extremely common engine.
