I had a bad experience at the Firestone on Broadway in Bayonne, NJ. The manager declined a simple job—removing a stuck oil drain plug—and instead recommended replacing the entire oil pan, which would cost much more. This felt unnecessary and made me question their approach to repairs. The service overall felt unprofessional and unhelpful. I wouldn’t recommend this location. There are better options in Bayonne.
Painfully sad update: I called to schedule an appointment to have my car serviced with a potential tire leak. I also communicated that I would be coming in with a company vehicle that has been serviced there previously. My appointment was for 3 o’clock… Ask me what time I left…. Roughly 6:30. Don't use on Sunday's. Wasted my time, I get it that the main "mechanics" and front desk personnel take the day off and it's the newbies that get stuck working this day. But a phone call that they can't do the job would be nice. Heck a smile would be nice.Will need to look for a new place to drop my cars, sad since it was a convenient location and I and my wife have used them in the past.
I went for a simple oil change, but the next day my car started leaking oil under the car. When I went back, they said nothing was wrong, even though it was fine before. I don’t recommend this place, a waste of money!
I took my newly purchased vehicle in for their “plus” inspection to make sure everything was in decent shape. Problems started immediately. When I arrived, they told me there was no diagnostic technician available to even look at the only real issue I had: a dead 12V outlet. (I ended up checking the fuses myself, but that clearly wasn’t the root cause.)
