We brought our car in to have a tire checked because the tire was losing air. We were told that there was a nail near the sidewall of the tire and that the tire couldn't be repaired and had to be replaced. Since the tire was under warranty, we brought the car to the Toyota dealer. They checked the tire and there was no nail in it. The dealer found that the cause of the leak was a faulty valve, which was quickly replaced. Firestone was not truthful and tried to get us to buy a tire that we did not need.
