I have never been treated so poorly in my life I went in to purchase a wood burning fireplace for a home remodel. I was told the Heatilator SC60 would be a good buy for my money and would heat a 1000 sq ft. home. I had them do my inspection said would be no problem. I took the day off for install it couldn't be done since they missed my duct work had to be moved. In a word, "Amazing." From the moment I walked into the show room, until the final install, everybody knew their skill, and treated me like I was the only customer they had. We bought an insert three years ago and have had to have it serviced every year with having to pay service fees every time. Why should I buy an expensive fireplace and have to pay to fix it every year. After this last fix, they put it back in crooked so there is a big gap between the insert and the brick, how do you miss that? As well, just to get a call back from them takes three days, why?

AVOID these people at all costs! Total ripoff! Was quoted $175.00 to service 2 year old unit they sold and installed and was told it was a rather involved service. Todd came was here about ten minutes and I even had to supply him with 4 AA batteries as he had none on his truck. I got bill for $175.00 he was sorry but that is the bill. This works to $1150.00 per hour labor. Called and complained that there should be some consideration for brevity of call and as told "oh well". Use anybody but these ripoff artists!!

We are warranty and we are having to get someone to work on our brand new fireplace for the third time! We were given a 5 hour afternoon window for the person to come fix it. They called at ten and said they could only come then and they could not come between 1 an 5 like we were told. When I called the office to address the issue I was continually put on hold and "dropped" and then laughed at when I had to call back 6 times! The service was fine....until we provided our credit card information and were 'locked in' as a customer.' Since then, we receive short and dismissive replies to 'some' of our attempts to reach out with questions and to request service. The unit failed inspection due to a number of items, some of which are safety concerns. Instead of fixing the issues raised by the inspector, they simply told them they had fixed everything and to come back and do the final inspection.
