POOR POOR SERVICE I bought a Vermont casting wood stove from fireplace city 8 yrs ago I had put a hole in the reefracturing unit inside the stove I called fireplace city for them to order this part and to put new gaskits in the stove that was in june 3 weeks later I had not herd from them so I went to the store and talked to the person thier and was told it was shipped 2 days a go and they would call me when the parts came in. here it is now 8/17/13 almost 3 months I called them and ask why they have not called me about fixi... read more
No concept of customer service I agree with the other reviewer about the service. I was relatively pleased with the information I received initially, but once the check was handed over-- forget it! I have been waiting for 2 months (and have called SEVERAL times with no return call) for my fireplace. Once I finally was able to get a time for the installers to come, they arrived (late) and didn't introduce themselves-- just walked in the door. Horrible Service I used Fireplace City for a new wood stove insert. The staff, meaning the owner, was very friendly and professional until I paid for the stove. After that, it took several calls and messages to hear back from him. A month after I purchased the stove I called several times to eventually find out that the stove was at the store and had been there for several weeks. like the products Fireplace City carries a nice line of pellet, propane and coal stoves. We have purchased both a coal stove and a propane stove/fireplace. I am somewhat reluctant to recommend them though because I am less than impressed with service after the sale.
