This is the first time I have been extremely disappointed in the ER at Firelands. I expected a long wait time on a busy holiday weekend but I also expected professionalism. My mom is 83 and went in for extreme pain. The first ekg machine didn't work and the second one was out of tape. We were taken into a room with a sheet on the bed that had to be changed. My mom never got a blanket or hooked up to any monitors. After 5 hours she finally got a pain pill for an infection and an antibiotic. No fluids or iv. Very little staff ... read more
We came to the ER and was immediately checked in. They took us back to a room and within the first 20 minutes we had registration, blood work, X-rays and the doctor had already came in. By far the best experience I've had in an emergency room.
Extremely Long Wait Times & Lack of Compassionate Care Every time I’ve had to come to this facility, I’ve waited over two hours to be seen — every single time. It’s incredibly frustrating to watch patients who arrived after me get called back first, even after being told there are only a few people ahead. Clearly, that information means nothing here. Worst emergency room I have been to! My son had a seizure, and they waited 6 hours before providing seizure medication. They also treated us like criminals, when we thoroughly explained the reason behind the seizure activity. We were told to lower his dosage, due to a free and clear multiple EEGs. That lower dose triggered a bad seizure! They kept us for 6 hours! Waste of time!
Time in waiting room is reduculas.
