Even with them not having staffing they did absolutely wonderful very welcoming and the food was great
I grew up on Firehouse. I loved being greeted and the energy of these stores. This was not that experience. The door was broken, the floor and bathroom were dirty, our order was wrong, we were only acknowledged when they had a question about the order and there wasn’t any direction giving for where to get drink cups or cookies. Food is good but I'm half an hour in to waiting for 2 sandwiches. I was the only one in the store. Watched to different employees go fill their soda while I wait
Firehouse is my favorite sandwich shop but not this one on Colfax. The two ladies working last night barely spoke English,one of them didn’t at all so it was even difficult to place my order. I ordered my favorite, the NY steamer. What I got was cold disappointment. It was cold by the time I got it home, it was sloppily made and not cut all the way through. It’s the first time I’ve never finished one of these. Almost $17 for disappointment. Colfax Firehouse, you need to be more selective about who you hire.
