Fabulous location, service and fun.
Friends had recommended the Firefly, and we travel to Harbor Country frequently. A friend was visiting from out of state, and I wanted her to experience the beauty of the area. The Firefly location is great, as are all locations near the lake. However, I had not known that all units are individually owned. Unit 9 is in a state of serious decline. Just Came and stayed here recently for a family reunion trip. We were in cottage #10 decent size space and updated. I enjoyed the screened in porches and the walking distance to the beach from resort! Another great touch this resort had was the picnic tables outside to enjoy dinner with our family every night. As well as a bonfire pit with firewood provided to enjoy! Few minor things we had issues with is the bedroom I stayed in the door stuck pretty bad so couldn't close that entirely. We enjoyed our stay at Firefly resort for our family reunion. The grounds are well maintained, there's a swingset for kids, bonfire pit with lots of seating, BBQ grills, and plenty of picnic tables for eating outside. The best part of the stay is the quick walk to the beautiful beach! We stayed in cottage #10 which was clean and updated. The garbage in the kitchen was a tiny under the sink can and no bags were provided so that was a but of a pain to constantly walk out back to empty the garbage. Nice location and conveniently close to the beach, but unfortunately it was not worth the price we paid. I would recommend avoiding Cottage #17. The cottage is in serious need of a deep cleaning and overall the unit did not feel well-maintained. There were several maintenance issues as well. Only three of the four stove burners worked, and the bedroom doors stuck so badly that we could not close them.
