We enjoyed our time at the lodge. My family had 8 adults and 5 children under the age of 6 years. The layout is a little odd, and the lights are pretty much non-existent. Fews things to watch for are the bunk room for kids has concrete floors and the downstairs bathroom has a step up to it that is very slick when wet! We had an adult slip and fall hard. Our family loves sharing time and making new memories at the Firefly Lodge. The Army Corp of Engineers has allowed for a walking path to the lake, but no mowing or spraying along that path is allowed. (sometimes I have seen poison ivy so be careful to stay on the path). The nicely mowed yard allowed for us to play outdoor games and sit by the fire pit and enjoy s'mores too. I realize it is a cabin in the woods, so I remembered to bring the bug spray as well as be prepared for other adventures of being in the woods. The five ... read more
