20 days after confirming my Airbnb reservation at Fire Mountain Resort, they abruptly canceled my stay — just a week before I was scheduled to be there for a wedding on July 4th weekend. I hate to leave a bad review, but this was one of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had with a business. Attended an event at the Resort last week and it was lovely! The indoor and outdoor event spaces are beautiful and the view is breathtaking.
We stayed at Fire Mountain June 19-21 2025 and would highly recommend to others. We stayed at The Lodge in the Blue Valley room. The resort is so peaceful, quiet and relaxing. We loved sitting on the porch with a glass of wine in the evening or morning coffee with the sweeping 100-mile panoramic views. Breakfast was included in our room and it was wonderful both days. As i received a response from the new owners of this resort from my last review,.i am changing that review … “No air conditioning” is not listed on any site. They do list “heating”. However, to list heating and not air conditioning, seems like they are hiding the fact there is no air conditioning. On several websites including Expedia, it lists tennis courts and even an equestrian center. ( I have screen shots of these ) The water feature has fountains and a waterfall. My wife and I recently traveled to western North Carolina looking forward to our stay at Fire Mountain Resort & Spa. The summary of this review is that is a place with potential but has a long way to go. My wife and I left after a one night into our two-night reservation. I would like to note that on site the host was responsive and helpful.
