I went to Fiona Stanley Emergency (08/11/25) on my GP’s urgent after-hours referral after a very high D-dimer, just days after major abdominal surgery with a developing infection, dizziness, and shortness of breath. My GP sent all my results and a letter marked URGENT, instructing me to go in immediately for emergency care. I have had the worst experience of my life in Fiona Stanley Hospital . I've been in here for 4 days with excruciating pain in my neck caused by a procedure done here in their day surgery called Radio Frequency Neurology . Every doctor who has seen me has a different opinion and perscribes a different drug to help with my pain . Nothing has worked . 6 hours of our lives we will never get back. 6 hours of waiting in the Children's ED probably to get more sick. My unwell 4 yr old had never stayed up this late in his life and was begging to go home to sleep. In the end we didnt get any help becuase we were so frustrated and left. No urgency from staff on how long everyone in the waiting room has waited, even dismissive when told we are leaving. How can this be the standard we accept in Western Australian healthcare.
Disgusting emergency waiting area. Half way home for the homeless, watched a homeless guy with toilet paper stuck to his bare feet snore his head off in the corner of the room. When I asked a nurse to get security her response was we don't kick people out for snoring even though I had watched them kick another homeless guy out 30 minutes prior to this for sleeping on the chairs.
The worth hospital I ever never see,very slow slow and no help ,if u have emergency plz don't come this hospital, it's really bad
