What a neat experience this was! The staff was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Clean, bathrooms on site for guests to use. It was a hot day on our ride and our cart was supplied with cold bottles of water for each guest. Staff accompanied us at a leisurely pace on a pretty much level grade, while providing a history of the area. Walkie talkies are on each cart so we could hear the guide as she spoke. All around a neat experience for all ages! Tours depart at scheduled intervals and reservations are required.
This was our third year in a row visiting Finger Lakes Rail Riders. Cathy and her staff always do an outstanding job. They pay attention to all the details that help make this a wonderful, enjoyable, experience. We love the history and interaction they provide throughout the beautiful ride. We were to rail riders in Maryland and Pennsylvania this year as well and Finger Lakes Rail Riders sets the standard. Outstanding! FLRR will be a tradition on our annual trip to the Finger Lakes.
Everything about the experience was wonderful! I took my 2 grandchildren and we had a great time. Our guide was informative and fun. The others there took good care of us making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a little misunderstanding about a couple tickets we couldn't use that day as my other daughter wasn't able to come. The owner called me personally to make things right and was very generous and kind! Looking forward to using our other tickets next year! Wonderful experience!
Our tour guide, Kathy did an excellent job. She was funny and very well versed in the historical facts she shared as we rode. Bottle of water was not expected but very appreciated!
It was wonderful !! Truly a unique idea in a beautiful country side !!
