We went on our first Rail Riders adventure yesterday and it was so much fun! I wasn't sure how much I was going to be able to pedal, so I figured it would be all on my husband. But it was much easier than I thought. The land was mostly flat so I could probably have done it for the entire trip without straining myself too much. It was a beautiful day, the guide was very informative and fun. Will definitely do it again!
This was lovely! 10/10 For runners: My friend and I ran the Wineglass half marathon in Corning on Sunday and needed something fun to do Monday. We are not super experienced runners so we needed a nice stretch the next day - this was perfect. The rail riders carts were low impact and very smooth. You could pedal it individually with light effort - and with two people it was easy peasy. If you are running in the wineglass in Corning this is the actual perfect next day cool down. Really enjoyed our 2 hour trip on Finger Lakes Rail Riders today. The bikes were comfortable and well equipped (basket and saddle bag for your items - included a nice cell phone leash, a bottle of water provided too) It's 5 miles in total on an out and back railroad stretch. The scenery is lovely farmland. The guide on the way out shares information on the region so the pace is slower. On the return trip you are able to bike a bit faster. We really had a fun time - thank you Finger Lakes Rail Riders.
