The owner who was also our tour guide is full of facts, energy, and spunk. She makes for the leisurely journey to be both informative and entertaining. Have had this on my bucket list for a few years and so glad to make it in the last weekend of the season. Hit up some shops in the village of Penn Yan before the ride and took a drive to the Spotted Duck for ice cream 10 min away after. Made for a perfect Fall day.

I recommend getting tickets in advance because the trip takes place every two hours. I also advise going with a partner ,it is an almost two hour tide through country roads. It's easy to navigate ,not strenuous,so your leg muscles will only be gently activated .I love nature so I really enjoyed the huge feilds of crops and seeing the homes on those vsst properties. Was a really fun time - the host/guide of the ride was playful and funny. The overall pace and effort needed to use these custom built aluminum rigs, is practically effortless. The ride to/from the start point was filled with lots of local history and it was a great learning experience as well. If you are in the rear on the way out, your the first car on the way back ;)

I want to rate this higher, but after riding two other NY based rail pedal car rides (Cooperstown and North Creek) I can’t do it. While this ride was significantly shorter than those other experiences (based on the distance of the track) my number 1 issue is the directive/programming with this ride. They require you all ride together - very close together and slowly might I add for the ENTIRE one way duration from the onset before you can self pace with your own car on the way back. Great experience! They thought of every detail to make the ride fun, safe and with interesting local history. Rode through beautiful farm land. Would highly recommend!
