Fineman, was the first doctor we saw when my husband's speech started to slur and he was unable to clear his saliva beginning in mid 2021. We contacted Mayo who set up the initial appointment. Dr. Fineman diagnosed him with long COVID. Once that diagnosis was made by the almighty Mayo it stuck. What my husband really had was ALS. One time i saw him I thought he was really nice and helpful. Another time he was really unhelpful. Maybe he just had a bad day. His treatment plan I thought was just ok.
