Best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had. Hit the spot. Get the green chili, perfect heat. I would’ve bought jars of it if could have.
I came by this diner during the visit to Four Corners Rally at Durango, CO September 3, 2026. There is a buddy of mine, Eliseo G., who I retired same year in 2008 from the United States NAVY after 20 years service. I discovered on this day that he was from this town called Chama, New Mexico originally. And he said I had to stop by this diner and so I did. Hometown diner and cooking. Great food!!
Simple, charming, old-school, mom and pop place. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Service was prompt, food quality was good. Fried zucchini for appetizer, I had the "Freedom Dip, " a good French Dip made with brisket, I'm assuming renamed during the Gulf War, and a good cup of coffee. My wife, a cheeseburger and fries with a Coke. Can, no fountain.
